Floral Delivery Services
Unless you are willing and able to deliver the flowers yourself you are going to be using a delivery service. Almost all local florists have delivery vans and are very reliable at making deliveries in their area. Growers and many online providers use Fed Ex, UPS or DHL to deliver flowers.
Delivery is never free! No matter who delivers the flowers there is an expense involved. Many florists and other providers advertise free delivery. What this really means is that the price of delivery is included in the price of the flowers.
The parcel services are highly reliable as well but they are delivering over a greater distance than a local florist so the delivery charge will usually be more. However, this extra cost is often offset by savings in the price of flowers themselves. Remember, if the flowers are being delivered by Fed Ex it is probably because you bought them directly from the grower.
What really matters is the reliability of on-time delivery and the bottom line cost after all fees and expenses are added. Most florists and online providers have a very high rate of on-time delivery but you should know what their policy is when the delivery is late or fails altogether.
